Multiple addresses, improved meal plan admin views, and more!
Customer Addresses
Customers can now save multiple addresses and set explicit roles for them (primary/delivery/billing).
A redesigned layout on the account page makes adding, changing, and removing these a breeze.
No need to head to the account page either — customers can now add and manage addresses directly from the order page as well for a more streamlined checkout.
Customers placing a gift order now no longer need to have a deliverable address for themselves on file either — they can enter the alternate address for the recipient and the system will validate that one instead.
Duplicate Order Detection
As menus and ordering options increase and become more complex, our duplicate order detection has expanded with more improvements to matching logic (menu, schedule, delivery date, plan context).
The most common type of unintentional duplication is when a customer has a recurring plan and places a regular order without pausing, skipping, or canceling their plan order.
To help you avoid these, this release added a few things to help alert customers and admins before the (potential) duplicate order goes through.
On the dashboard, a new Potential Duplicate Pending Orders panel.
In addition, early-notice plan emails now include duplicate warnings when applicable.
Customer Meal Plans
Whether you use credits-style, repeat order, or package/product auto-fill plans, it's now easier to quickly view and manage individual customer plans from the admin.
Quick actions moved from the User Management page to the new Edit Plan page. As before, these mirror self-serve options available on the customer account page, and actions shown will change based on what's available/valid for the current plan.
Two new options now available:
New 1-click "Set to Complimentary" button to convert a plan to complimentary pricing. Good for credits-style plans and set-price package plans.
New 1-click "Comp Plan Orders" button to convert plan orders to complimentary pricing. Good for auto-fill and repeat-order plans. This actually creates a unique free order discount that you can further customize and track.
With either complimentary option, the self-serve options for the customer will be limited to the cancel plan action. Need something different? This could be extended to permit per-plan self-serve settings.
A few other updates...
- When required meal components are missing at checkout, rather than just showing an alert, the edit modal for that item is opened so customers can quickly select the missing component and continue with checkout.
- Pending orders with no meals are now automatically deleted after a short period (previously, this was only done after the close of a menu).
- Updated the search filters for several dashboard collections, including Customers, Orders, and Customer Meal Plans.
- Admins can now manually send the early-notice email for a customer's pending plan order from user management.
- When "include plan pending orders" is checked on supported reports, the total order/pending counts will be shown so you know the split at a glance.
- Voucher emails now include year on discount expiration dates.
- Failed payments are now linked to failed order records for easier admin follow-up.
- SMS preference toggles are now visually disabled when site SMS is disabled.
- Account order prev/next button labels swapped (navigation moves backward for older orders).
- Additional local spam-check phrases.
