What's new.

Every update since 2018, posted in public. Something new every month since late 2025.

October 2026

New

  • Allergens, dietary preferences and product tags. Customers set allergens and dietary preferences, and the order page and plan autofill hide the meals that contain them, from each meal’s tags, ingredients, recipes and components. Admins manage the lists. Learn more: allergens and dietary filters
  • Remove items you no longer need in the admin. You can remove a menu, meal plan, meal package, location, promotion, delivery region, partner, FAQ section, testimonial or blog post that you no longer need, and an item that is still in use is not removed. Learn more: partners
  • Find and fix easy-to-guess codes. A new Easy-to-Guess Codes tab on the Stored Value page lists the short discount and gift card codes that any account can use, so you can give a discount a longer code, limit a code to its customers, or turn it off. New codes you type must meet a minimum length, which you can change in Admin Settings. Learn more: stored value gift cards and credits
  • See your Eat Fresh plan next to the others, and change it yourself. The billing page shows your Eat Fresh plan next to the other plans, what moving to each one adds or takes away for your site, and lets you change plan yourself. Learn more: your eat fresh billing page
  • Gift Cards page. A Gift Cards page under Discounts & Credits finds any card by code or customer, shows its full history and emails, and lets a manager change its balance, expiry, status or customer with a reason. Learn more: gift cards page
  • Integrations page cards and Google Search Console. The Integrations page shows each connected tool on its own card, with an On or Off label next to each setting. You can verify your site in Google Search Console from the Google card. Learn more: integrations
  • A location’s own delivery day. A pickup or delivery location can get the food on another day than the menu’s delivery date. Set its Delivery Day once, and customers see that day on the order page, in their account and in every order email, while the kitchen keeps working to the menu’s date.
  • A new site starts ready to show. A new Eat Fresh site opens with a holding page while we finish the launch, a sample menu with sample meals and photos, starter How It Works and FAQ pages, a store pickup location to check, a logo drawn from your business name, and a welcome message.
  • Scheduled texts that keep their week and their time. Skip a week on a scheduled text message with one click. A weekly message that missed its time goes out again the next week, keeps its clock time when the clocks change, and can skip a week when no menu takes orders. Learn more: how to edit sms order reminders
  • New All-Time Gift Card Use report on the Reports page, aggregate or itemized: what gift cards paid, order by order. Needs the Accounting or Support role or higher. Learn more: reports overview
  • Copy a discount from the Discounts list or from its edit page. The copy gets its own code and starts turned off. Learn more: how to create discounts
  • Log Out All Sessions on Account Assistance signs a customer out on every device without a password change. Needs the Support role or higher. Learn more: how to reset a customer password
  • Stored Value, Balances: a switch lists the gift cards that are off or expired but still hold a balance, apart from the totals. The gift card total counts active cards. Learn more: stored value gift cards and credits
  • Staff get an SMS Turned Off email whenever text messaging turns off, with the reason. Learn more: messaging dashboard
  • SMS Logs has a link in the admin menu, under Email Logs, with search filters (customer, message, type, status, errors only) and a message type column. Learn more: messaging dashboard
  • A filter box on the Admin Settings and Features pages, and an ingredient filter on the Grocery List report.
  • Seed Defaults on the Dietary Filters page adds the default filters your list lacks, after a preview. Needs the Manager role or higher.

Improved

  • Gift cards and credits in your sales reports. Monthly Sales & Tax shows what customers paid with credits and with gift cards in their own columns, and Cart Total and SubTotal include them. Learn more: reports overview
  • A Mailchimp Tag Library that matches your audience. The Mailchimp page lists every tag in your Mailchimp audience with its current name, and you can rename a tag, point it at another Mailchimp tag, or take it out of the library. Add Tag needs only a name, and a name Mailchimp already has is linked instead of made again. Learn more: mailchimp
  • One phone number, one text message setting. When two accounts share a phone number, a text message choice made on one of them applies to both. A customer who texts START gets back the messages they had on, on every account with their number. Learn more: sms text messaging
  • The Eat Fresh billing page opens at once and refreshes in the background. It says how old the figures are when they are more than five minutes old, and says so plainly when billing cannot be reached. Learn more: your eat fresh billing page
  • The Data API reads your menus: the live menu, recent menus and upcoming menus. Two new key permissions add the customer’s email and phone, and the discount codes, to order rows. Learn more: read only api
  • On the account page, a meal’s name opens its details. The short meal code (such as E-12) no longer shows on orders, pending orders or the print slip. The admin meal edit page shows the meal number. Learn more: how a customer can view and print their orders
  • When you edit a package, open pending orders take the new contents. A customer who checks out with the old contents is asked to add the package again.
  • Update Meals on a products meal plan also updates the plan’s recurring price when that price follows the meals, and lists the plans that keep a custom price.
  • The Grocery List, the Orders report and Labels load faster on large menus.
  • A Free Order discount covers the meals. Its Waive Delivery Fees and Waive Order Fees boxes decide the fees: a new Free Order discount starts with both ticked, and so does every one you already had and one that you change to Free Order. A customer’s tip is not part of the discount. Comp Plan Orders has its own Waive Delivery Fees box. Learn more: how to create discounts
  • The Gift Cards panel on a customer’s page lists every card with a balance and marks the ones that are off or expired. Learn more: gift cards page
  • On the account page, a customer who never set a password can ask for a link to set one, and the change-email and change-password forms say plainly when a change did not go through.
  • Partners: the Staff role or higher can add, edit and remove partners. Learn more: partners
  • The Support role can use Charge Customer on an order, and the payment shows on the order. Refresh Counts and Resync Schedules on the menu page show to Staff and Support, and Discount Uses shows to Accounting. Learn more: how to manage admin users and roles
  • The meal editor says that the order page allergen filters check a meal’s own allergens, not the allergens of a meal option.
  • On the Messaging dashboard, Recent Bulk Sends shows how long each send took, and the Send From Number has a copy button. Each message shows when it was last sent and to how many customers. Learn more: messaging dashboard
  • SMS Minimum Balance: with Bill After Bulk Send on, the minimum is not checked, and the Messaging dashboard says so. For SMS credits paid in advance, the minimum applies when a bulk send starts, order texts keep going until the balance reaches 0, and staff get an email up to 48 hours before a scheduled send that the credits do not cover. Learn more: messaging dashboard
  • Send Now on a text message says how many customers will really get it. Learn more: how to edit sms order reminders
  • After a failed SMS usage charge, Bill After Bulk Send turns off too: the site buys SMS credits in advance until we turn it back on. Learn more: messaging dashboard
  • The account page plan card lists what the plan includes when there is no plan order yet. Learn more: monthly meal plans and renewals
  • A cart a customer starts before logging in carries over to their account at login on the order page. When they already have a saved cart for that menu, the saved cart is shown, with a short notice. Learn more: pending orders
  • Order emails show the order’s own delivery address, the customer’s delivery instructions on a local delivery, the order time in your site’s time zone, and no empty gift message line. On menus grouped by week, they show each week and each meal’s day. Learn more: email logs
  • The plan renewal emails say when a renewal made no new order and why, and list a products plan’s meals from its order. Learn more: monthly meal plans and renewals
  • A Prep login can open the Grocery List, a single order page, and the Labels report with your label settings. Delivery Confirmation is for drivers and admins.
  • Report and delivery pages say “No orders for this menu yet.” when a menu has no orders, and the menu picker says “No menus yet.” with a Create a menu button, in place of an error popup. Learn more: reports overview
  • The Contact page shows only the sections you filled in, and lists your X, TikTok, Bluesky, Pinterest and email links, as the footer does. Learn more: updating company info
  • When we connect your Mailchimp, its standard automations are added. While Mailchimp is off, the Automations list marks an automation that needs it Mailchimp not connected. Learn more: automations
  • Every site can open Manage Discount Archetypes and turn a default reward on or off.
  • Impersonation: Claim This Session works from any page, and Stop Impersonation always takes you back to the admin. A customer who logs in on their own while you help them can still update their card and email. Learn more: how to impersonate a customer
  • Role names on the Roles page and in the page editor’s role list are capitalized (Manager, not manager). Learn more: how to manage admin users and roles

Fixed

  • Custom sections of your Terms of Service save as you wrote them. Learn more: how to edit your terms of service
  • The Grocery List counts every meal inside a package line (two boxes of three meals count six). Recipe totals add up an ingredient by its name and unit, and convert units where they can. Learn more: how to create meal recipes
  • Staff see why an address is not deliverable on the admin customer page, or a hint to recalculate delivery regions when the reason is unknown.
  • The FAQ editor handles answers with colors and tables, and names the question that lacks a heading or an answer.
  • The order page shows a meal’s new price and name at once after you edit it, with no reload.
  • The menu picker on the reports shows a delivery date only for a menu that has schedules of its own.
  • A menu whose save is refused also stops taking orders.
  • Food labels on an order with meals for several delivery days show each meal’s own date. Learn more: how to print orders packing slips and labels
  • On menus grouped by week, an order’s delivery date is the date of its meals’ week.
  • Renaming a menu with orders no longer asks about its dates, and keeps the menu’s type. Saving a meal with a limited quantity keeps the portions sold while the page was open.
  • The packing slip you print from a single order page shows a gift order’s gift details, as the Orders report slip does. Learn more: how to print orders packing slips and labels
  • The Labels report leaves out orders marked Exclude From Labels. Learn more: how to print orders packing slips and labels

  • The order page names the right pickup or delivery date on menus grouped by week, and for a location with its own Delivery Day.
  • Meal Keys show as one neat line on the Meals page, as on the order page. Learn more: how to use meal tags and filters
  • The Updates link in the help widget opens our updates page. Learn more: how to get help with your site
  • With the Home page off, your site’s address opens the order page at once, with no “Nothing to see here” pause.
  • The page editor lists every How It Works section, so you can edit the page’s text there.
  • The admin Renew Now prompt shows the amount the renewal charges, with no sales tax on a credits plan.
  • After you rename a meal component, the grocery list shows it on one line, not two.

Under the hood

  • Security and reliability work. Scheduled tasks and the admin dashboard run more smoothly, and scheduled tasks keep your local time when the clocks change.
