April 2026 Update

update

Menu rotation, skip week, impersonation that survives reconnects, and more.

Menu rotation & skip week

New Menu Rotation admin page and cron: keep upcoming menus filled without duplicating by hand. Modes are repeat last (copy the latest menu forward) or rotate through a set of base menus. Rotation can activate the new menu, email staff on success, and pause with a reason.

Templated names for rotated menus (internal and public), including a week-cycle length. Duplicating an older menu across a DST change no longer shifts times; duplicating from a prior year advances dates into the current year.

Skip week is first-class: the plan stores who skipped, when, and which renewal. Copy distinguishes billed renewals from pay-on-order plans. A skip no longer advances the renewal twice.

Impersonation

Impersonation is one dedicated flow: start, refresh, force-clear, and claim so another tab or browser can take the session. A reconnect keeps the impersonation session instead of dropping back to the admin user. A notice stays on browser navigation. Sibling tabs show a claim/stop overlay instead of a second live session.

Plans, pending orders & credits

Self-serve New Plan Order: duplicate check with an explicit override, and messaging that distinguishes "pending already exists" vs "finalized order already exists for this menu/day."

A v2 plan with a valid free code skips billing-info entry. Pausing, skipping, or canceling one plan no longer clears pending orders on the customer's other plan.

Credits apply once if two checkouts overlap. Admin cannot set a credits account negative.

Storefront & admin

Cart icon and dropdown in nav (on standalone sites, when the cart has meals). Alternate text-based / no-image menu layout. Filter pills have distinct hover vs selected.

New admin user accounts page. Roles and account assistance split onto separate pages. Adding a role now invalidates login, not only removing one. New Menu Defaults admin page.

A few other updates...

  • Restricted emails: bounced and disabled addresses show a warning in user management and an alert on the account page, with a reactivate action.
  • Print next to Refresh on reports. Reports that mix pending and finalized orders show a pending vs finalized totals breakdown.
  • Delivery report works for segmented multi-schedule orders.
  • Stripe / Chargebee deep links from customer billing and user-management payments. Reactivate on order edit.
  • Dashboard: recent orders widget, and a rotate-menus link on the live-menu empty state.
  • Stripe Link card display when no card is on file but Link is. Undeliverable address alerts include the local delivery region note.
  • Pending order shows delivery address and finalize date on the account page.
