In addition to the existing options to create many types of discounts, for regular orders, subscription orders, and gift cards, there is now a new "Promotions" feature.
You can use it to incentivize purchases with a bonus gift card OR bonus meal credits (only 1 type can be active at once). If enabled, any qualifying purchase during the eligible period will automatically trigger the bonus.

In the near future, this feature will only be available via the Business plan or the Growth Boost addon — but for a limited time, is is available to everyone to try out to maximize your end of year sales.

- You must have a live menu, as this works with the regular checkout page instead of the gift card page
- You choose the promotion period start and end dates
- You can set a minimum purchase $ amount (regular menu mins always apply)
- You can choose the bonus card ($10, $25, etc)
- You can set an earlier expiration for the bonus card (e.g. 1-2 months instead of 1 year)
- By default (you can change), bonus card is not locked to purchaser (they could send to someone else or use themselves)
- By default (you can change), bonus card received during the promotion cannot be used during the promotion
- There is no limit on how many bonus cards are issued (people could place multiple orders and receive multiple cards)
- No discount code is needed - it will work automatically once enabled
- While promotion is active, a confirmation message is shown by checkout that indicates whether the current purchase qualifies for the bonus card
- The bonus card will be issued immediately after the qualifying order and emailed to the customer that ordered.
- Meal plan orders that meet the qualifications will also trigger the bonus card

- When active, any credits purchase from the menu checkout will trigger a bonus issuance of credits
- You can choose the bonus percentage (e.g. with 25%, a purchase of 100 credits would trigger a bonus of 25 credits)
- There is no limit to number of bonus credits issued
- Credits can be used immediately
- Credits can be purchased alongside other menu items
- Credits can not be used to purchase credits :)
- Discounts will not be applied to credits purchases
- Credits-based plans will not trigger the bonus credits; they must be purchased separately from checkout
